Hi mattgoff,
Do you mean how does a Sainsbury's milk bag compare to a tetra pack (or a similar mixed material carton, which UHT milk-in-a-box usually comes in)?
Or are you after a comparison of "fresh milk in a bag" as whole compared to "UHT milk in a box" as a whole (i.e. milk and packaging combined)?

Hi Kim Wilde, just in case you don't speak German, this is what the person who left the first comment says:
"Hello Kim Wilde, I've been a fan of yours for a long time. I'm 38 years old and have two children. I hope you can read German as I [don't speak] any English. I've got a problem [and] if you would like to help me, please write back. Thank you."

Hi Michelle,
We've just had a chat with the Wattson guys and you're absolutely right, the Wattson does not have a fixed notion of how much energy we should be consuming, so we've amended the copy above. Thanks for flagging this up.

Have heard back from the Dorling Kindersley and unfortunately the paper is neither FSC nor recycled. However, they had following to say about a new intiative, 'Made with Care':
"By the end of 2008 DK will be using purely PREPs Grade 3 paper and above ? paper for which we know the provenance, i.e. that it comes from legal and well managed forests. As a division of the Pearson Group we are already a founder signatory to the UN global compact; this sets out a series of principles against which we measure ourselves in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption. Specifically all of our suppliers will, by the end of 2008, be certified by/with ICTI, ISO14001 and be FSC chain of custody approved."

Well, considering how quickly that G&B almond bar you just bought disappeared, I've got a feeling you're in the almond camp too :)

Hi LG Adam,
I've checked the book and I can't find any information about the paper, so I assume it's just 'ordinary' (as in not FSC certified or recycled) paper. I've emailed the publisher and asked for more specific information about the paper and the ink. Will let you know when I hear from them.

Hi Rachelblue,
Natessance is going to be launched in the UK soon. In the meantime, you can contact Dominic Holmes on 0144 0786644 to find out how to get hold of a Natessance product.
I'm waiting to hear back from i m Naturkosmetik.
Rikke BD commented on a story: Highlights from world organic fair Biofach
Hi Anonymous User,
I wondered about that too! I don't know why and find it quite strange considering there are so many great organic products in the UK. I spoke to a couple of European organic companies who said it was more difficult exporting to the UK than many of the other European countries, which I also find interesting. If anybody knows anything about a. Why there were so few UK exhibitors at Biofach and b. Why it should be more difficult to export organic products to the UK than other European countries, please let us know!

At the moment the rum is only available at Asda, but Alex Parker from the Organic Spirits Company says it'll soon be available at independent retailers across the country -- including online retailer www.vintageroots.co.uk.

Hi markypants,
A water-saver aerates the water flow from the tap and converts the water into a spray instead of a standard flow. This means you use less water per minute when e.g. washing hands and rinsing stuff. Some water-savers can reduce water wastage by up to 70 per cent.
