Cute but very pricey. Do they have a coloured LED versions planned? Like the faster it goes the colour moves from blue to red... giving a wind speed indicatation. Or random disco effects. Or match flash patterns to spin speed to give cool effects. All ideas TM me of course :-)

Very brave to even attempt a comparison :-). I think this is why green apathy tends to hit a lot of people - because the question of what is truly 'greener' just gets so complex.
I'd give paper books just one more point though due to the 're-use' provided by libraries and the second hand book trade. Something the reader devices will be strongly fighting to prevent (you can't email a paperback you liked to all your friends at once...).

This is neat thinking. Personally I wouldn't buy the device as is, although I can see a market for it. But if they can really refine this to make it unobtrusive (size and weight) and effective when built-in to a mobile phone, fantastic, we'd rarely have to plug our phones into the wall ever again!

Definitely the coolest looking electric bike I've seen. Looks like we might finally be reaching mass consumer territory once the prices fall a bit more).
Now, just need to find somewhere to actually put my water bottle ;-)

It's a tricky area this one. If you want a 'badge' then cards like Co-op's Think fit the bill, and it is backed by a bank with more ethical credentials. But then again you can get cards like Amex that pays 5% cashback for 3 months and 0.5% - 1.5% after that (see cashbackguru.co.uk for details) and donate that to whatever charity you choose. Up to TWENTY times better than Co-op or Barclays 0.25%, and you DO still get the cashback if you pay off your balance in full.

The Ecover range has become so good (and accessible) now, I often wonder why people still buy the really toxic products..? And why on earth do people put bleach in their toilets anyway, totally unnecessary and so harmful.

Cutting power consumption in devices designed to be on 24/7 is certainly desirable, and if we're talking 20 watts as typical then it also sounds very worthwhile. Especially as the popularity of wireless routers grows and grows, which I suspect are more power hungry than an old fashioned cabled router (or a wireless router used with a cable and the wireless feature turned off).
Power saving features, such as being able to leave the router on but schedule it to turn off wireless function overnight, are becoming more common. May be worth investigating software upgrades for you existing router before considering buying new.

Hey careful with that 'Tupperware' promotion (or do Sainsburys really now sell Tupperware..?)
Dsiclaimer: "Reusable plastic food containers by other manufacturers may also prove equally effective." ;-)
Now, please debate the pros and cons of reusable plastic food containers versus wrapping sandwiches in paper... life is just too complicated sometimes :-).

It does fall down slightly on that count - I'd have to buy plastic bags to use with it!

Is this a wind up..? Well it's about time someone said it ;-)
I struggle to see who would really want one. It makes sense, sort of, but I just don't "want" one. That's a tough uphill battle! Maybe it's a bit of a "try it, you'll love" it thing..?
