Win! Green Oil lube and bicycle trouser clips
It's Bike Week 2008 and our wheels are spinning. You see, green online shop ECOutlet is giving away some cool cycling accessories and we get to tell you all about them. The fun part is that this competition will see ten winners -- yes, ten -- go home with Green Oil Bicycle Chain Lubricant and a set of bicycle clips made from recycled inner tubes.
The Green Oil lube is made from naturally occurring plant extracts, and doesn't contain any petrochemical components or Teflon. That means it's not an irritant, nor is it hazardous or harmful to the environment. Additionally, the bottle it comes in is made from HDPE plastic -- same as milk bottles -- which means it's easily recycled by most local councils. If your council doesn't recycle them, then you can return the bottle to ECOutlet for re-use and they'll give you 20p off your next purchase. Each winner will get a 100ml bottle.
The trouser bicycle clips are ECOutlet's first in-house product. Marco Puig, cyclist and one-half of the ECOutlet, created them out of recycled bicycle inner tubes. Bicycles' disposable inner tubes are not usually recycled so we just love that the trouser clips make use of them -- for something that's incredibly useful indeed. If you cycle then you'll know how aggravating it is to have your cuffs get in the way, and if you don't but are just starting now, then you'll soon realise how much you'll need 'em. Each pair is around 29.5cm long and they're stretchy, so one size fits all.
All you have to do for your chance to win one of ten sets of lube-plus-trouser-clips is answer the question below. Step right up, kids, and happy cycling.
