Deaf Communications
Have never considered the need for space in this way. I suppose we should remember that while most of us move closer to speak to one another, it is well to back up when using ASL or other form of hand signal communication. Need a full frontal and not a top down view of the hands. The deaf are always so glad to meet an ASL speaker that they have never said anything to me about this subject. Of course, since I am a hearing person, they do not share a lot of their problems with me. They are survivors in this world. And still treated as not right by many.
