Unprepared
"the cockpit has a full electrically heated suit underneath the seat..."
What use was that if he could hardly move inside the small space?

And why didn't he cool down the sub's inside before diving, instead of first having it too hot and then too cold? And why didn't he have any insulating sheet between his leg and the wall? That would hardly have taken any space. And the condensation shouldn't have been anything new or unexpected either. Seeing as he planned this for seven years, I think he was surprisingly unprepared for even the simplest of obstacles.

The trip was very planned out
Hi Dukhalion,

Yes, how he would get the suit on was not fully explained, but because they spent seven years planning the whole trip, I imagine that they worked out some way for him to put on the suit.

For the same reason, the condensation was not a surprise to him. He was merely describing it for reporters. He has previously tested the submersible on shallower dives. As to why he didn't do more in terms of the submersible's temperature control, he did not explain.
