The question is, just how many politicians are in Molycorp's pocket?
There are a LOT of things that could be 'fixed' or at least minimized if the US set tarriffs like that. Hasn't happened because the corp-bought politicians won't vote for the things that that could hurt their paymasters. And sadly, their 'paymasters' aren't the people, with all the taxes we pay.
