Whether it's global warming or not, you can't blame the islands' inhabitants like you do. Nearly all the problems that you stated are things that happen all over the world.
So IMHO it would be a bit hypocrite to say that they're ruining there surrounding when in fact the whole world is doing the same (or at least the developed countries)...

I suggest we look at ourselves first...
