To all of you who don't seem to understand how health surveys like this one work. These results (like all scientific studies since the 1880s) do take into consideration all other variables like smoking, exercise, etc. It is a very simple and standard part of statistical analysis - ask any actuary at an insurance company. You are all just in shock to hear the fact that red meat is not healthy to eat. Look closer at the study itself:
