Mayor Nutter is very interested in the public health of the citizen he is responsible for. recently has done a lot with Lisa Jackson of the EPA learning about brown fields and environmental justice. Unfortunately, the city still has a long way to go to protect the people from the health hazards in the city. Most of the deadliest pollution comes from the soil and groundwater. One can learn a great deal from mistakes. Building on a contaminated site without proper protocol and safety has put at least one neighbor in hospital several times and displaced her from her home for years. This was bad planning. Don't let it happen again and resolve what you can. All citizens are entitled to protection from environmental harm and no development should be excused basic environmental safety.
