"Prediction: Germany will get back into nuclear within the next 3 years."
Not quite sure what that means, since they still have 9 nuclear reactors in operation and planned for shutdown sometime in 2020 (one newer one will operate another few years longer than the others). 8 of their 17 reactors have been shutdown, although not all were shut down prematurely, ie. some were at the end of their life and scheduled for closure.
I suppose the prediction is that Germany will find it almost impossible to meet their power needs and carbon reduction program without nuclear. In only a decade. We'll see. It is somewhat complex but interesting to see in the great freeze that it is France importing power from Germany, not the other way round.
