Good luck MIT
So many potential problems to overcome with High Tc liquid metal batteries. Just look at the issues today with Na-S batteries. In the meantime room temperature Vanadium flow batteries with 70% increase in power density (thanks to PNNL lab) and better membranes (thanks to Chinese Academy of Science) are ready to be the battery of choice now that there is are domestic multi-decade supplies of low-cost battery-grade vanadium electrolyte coming into production soon.
