Energy boom?
Energy saving is not the same as energy producing...like the number 1 boom (oil and gas). Ground loop heat pumps (nothing new) are energy efficient...just a large capital outlay for initial install...but with a payback of 6 to 7 years (depending on the size of the installation) it does make sense for some.

How is this fracturing any better?
As the article says, this process involves fracturing rock beneath the surface, and would have to use the same techniques and chemicals to break the rock as natural gas and oil drilling does. Just how would this fracking process be environmentally sound while drilling for oil and gas is not???
