Samples
We still need to feed our family healthy, well-balanced meals while keeping to a set budget. Change is the hardest thing and trying to do everything at once will have most people quitting before they even begin. You can get samples from sites like "Get Official Samples" where you can find all samples

The diabetes drug makers hid the truth
Paula Deen (The chef who used very bad food chemicals) hid 2 big Facts
1. She knew she had diabetes and hid this fact from the public to keep the money rolling in
2. Her $500 dollar a month drug was beaten by a $20 dollar specialized diabetes diet in a study. She hid this fact from her viewers. This goes way beyond her terrible diet
This was revealed on Midland News here http://www.ourmidland.com/voices/community/article_381a5c8c-42c7-11e1-b7c3-cf08f6be1b90.html

Paula Deen is not a diabetes drug maker
Paula Deen (The chef who used very bad food chemicals) hid 2 big Facts
Not but do go on.
1. She knew she had diabetes and hid this fact from the public to keep the money rolling in
She likely hid the fact because getting a diagnosis of diabetes is a shock and is something that is very personal - I can tell you that from personal experience as I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 6 1/2 years ago and told very few people at first. It is a shock and it's a disease that requires one to change quite a few habits. But don't let that fact distract from your Paula Deen bashing.
2. Her $500 dollar a month drug was beaten by a $20 dollar specialized diabetes diet in a study. She hid this fact from her viewers. This goes way beyond her terrible diet
First of all when did she EVER claim that the foods she made were healthy? Come on use some common sense here. It's like all the people griping about McDonalds because they are fat - THEY made the decision to eat there just like people made the decision to make recipes that Paula had on her show and in her restaurant.
Secondly you claim that "her $500/m drug was beat by a $20 specialized diabetes diet" - cough up something that is NOT from a website YOU are getting paid to promote. What is the name of Paula Deen's medication? What is the name of this miracle diet? Is this $20 a day, week, month, year? You are leaving crucial bits of information out.

This was revealed BY YOU on that link. Care to supply something less biased and self serving?

coffee prevents diabetes?
Just what we need, more researchers (Intellectual beggars) who publish meaningless work to ensure funding grants, seems like just about every discipline throughout the world has them. Next thing on the market will be organic coffee supplements for twice the price of a Starbucks coffee, I will throw out my Metformin now.

AN IDIOT IS BORN EVERYDAY.
MY MOTHER DIED OF COMPLICATIONS OF DIABETES AND SHE LOVED AND DRANK COFFEE FOR YEARS. THIS RESEARCH WAS DONE FOR NOTHING ELSE THAN TO BRING UP THE PRICES OF COFFEE. STUPID RESEARCH BY DUMB PEOPLE.

Frustration understood but...
Coffee is not a cure or even a treatment for diabetes. But it has a statistical correlation to a delay in the onset of diabetes. I am sorry about your mother. But if her love of coffee may have delayed the onset of this terrible disease by years, or maybe just months, isn't that worth investigating?
China faces the same epidemic as we do. I don't really care who finds the cure. I want it found. If the Chinese people/government/academia/capitalists want to spend money on this research, I say go for it.

More Coffee Propaganda by the Coffee Barons.
coffee has been touted to be the cure of virtually over every single disease known to man. but its all a bunch of bull. case and point: americans have been drinking and are addicted to coffee for decades, even centuries. yet people aren't cured from diabetes. perhaps the intent of the article is to sell more coffee to the chinese because its meaningless to us here in america.

I see more an more articles like this on Smart Planet...
Headline: Coffee prevents Type 2 diabetes? Decaf is fine too.
Conclusion: "In short, the study has been focused on results from cell cultures, so there are no current explanations of how caffeine may effect cells within the human body. It is also worth noting that the study is epidemiological, so the research does not prove any cause and effect links only that there is a measure of association."
More and more often I am caught by a headline in my Smart Planet email only to discover on reading the article that the headline is a far stretch from the truth revealed in the article. I realize no one would read this if it just mentioned non-human coffee research but let's face it...this headline is intended to get the author published or meet a deadline objective. It is much to obscure and irrelevant to be applicable here. Smart Planet is losing since their reputation is weakening. Their editor needs to read what they publish and accept a little more editorial responsibility for targeting the audience intended by the publication.

China's Universal Healthcare
China is rolling out universal healthcare. That means they "profit" from lifestyle changes and food choices that prevent or delay these kinds of diseases, since a healthier population means less tax money spent on treatments. For-profit systems like ours will torpedo cheap, effective treatments with FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) every time, since the healthier Americans are, the less profitable big pharma and the industrial medical complex are.
We could learn something, but we won't. Profit trumps life here in the good ole USA.

Rubbish
Finnland is one of the biggest coffeedrinking nations in the world, and yet they have more diabethics than countries that drink much less coffee. So, that coffee myth is crushed right there.
