The raisin tree extract hopefully has some promise but cannot be a true antidote because it does nothing to eliminate alcohol in the body, although development of an effective alcohol antagonist would be extremely useful in emergency rooms and rehabilitation facilities.

A possible hypothesis to explain the absence of addiction to DHM treated drinks, is that the pleasant feeling of "getting high" is lacking. If so, it'll catch on about as fast as caffeine-free drinks, and non-fat half-and-half.
