Did U.S. companies make out like bandits in these deals?
Considering the rapid depletion rates of these 'fracking' wells (I've read estimates from some insiders that many of these well sites are running at 28-36% of peak production on average within a year), I'm suspicious that these foreign buyers are purchasing more hype than actual recoverable reserves.
