        <description><![CDATA[Timepieces were one of the last bastions of what was a tradition for centuries...until the last few generations of self-absorbed, spoiled, disposable and oblivious to anything not-new-and-shiny Americans...the heirloom. What sort of idiot would want a watch that disintegrates when it gets wet? What's next, biodegradable homes? It concerns me that a soi-disant smart website advocates for  a society based on making everything ever more disposable. Do you think we should extend this trend to inconvenient and outmoded senior citizens as well?]]></description>
