I'm sure that the photo is remarkable from an artistic 'point of view' [no pun intended], but from where is it taken, above or below? I would like to see a pic that would give an idea of what the building would look like to the non-artisty observer on the ground.

OK. On viewing again, the blue bit must be the sky, so we are looking upwards, but only at one wall.
