This is great for those that live close enough to their place of employment, but there are many that commute 45 minutes to a couple of hours to work. Explain why you are four hours late to work because you rode your bike today!

Everyone has a choice about where they live and the commute they have to work. For those who have decided to live close enough to work to utilize this unique program, this is a great opportunity to get rewarded for making a socially responsible decision to bike to work. Most people who bike to work in Portland, and probably in most other US cities, do so for ethical and environmental reasons and they don't need any incentive to perform. But for those who need the incentive of this program, it sounds like a good plan.

This is a great Idea! My work gives incentives on other things such as carpooling, and staying fit through Healthyroads.com, why not this? This is definetly on my next agenda to promote at my work! Thanks!
