Mengele would be happy
"Dr" Mengele performed horrible experiments on concentration camp internees. He is famous for trying to change brown eyes into blue ones. The NAZIs were apparently afraid that a jew could hide among the aryan elite if he could change the color of his eyes. This and many other experiments were found to have no medical value.
I find the possibility of eye color change to be interesting and also problematic. The Dr Mengele reference should serve as a cautionary tale to make people think before rushing in to make this kind of change. If this procedure is safe and has few side effects then I would not have any problem with it being added to the rest of cosmetic surgeries.
