This is a bad idea
That is genocide. We as the most venomous species on this planet are already responsible directly and indirectly for the "population collapse" more accurately put, EXTINCTION, of many species as it is. What we need to do, is start controlling our own human population so that we dont finish destroying this planet and leaving a barren world in our wake. I love tech., and science, dont get me wrong, but this should not be done(the releasing of this test subjects to destroy an entire population). Im all for knowledge and scientific study, but I am not and cannot agree with this action. Reason aside from my own personal feelings is ecological disturbance. You take out this species and you are going to offset the food chain in many different ecosystems and niches.
