I would love to see the test results after they test it against an 8.1 earthquake like what hit the city in 1985. The quake epicenter was over 350 km away, but the geology of Mexico City sitting in a dry lakebed surrounded by mountains is best described as sitting on a big bowl of jelly.
The distant earthquakes amounted to hitting the outside of the bowl and shaking the jelly. I wonder what happens when you build into the jelly?
