They can make them - but will they last?
The article contains no information about whether the bricks and blocks will last as long as traditional bricks and cinder or concrete building blocks. Carbon negative is great, but only if the structure will last at least as long as one built with the current materials. Building twice can generate a lot of carbon and waste.

How much energy is used to make them? is heat used? If not that's the big advantage $.
