It would have been clearer if you had said disc in the title... when I read 500GB drive, I read it as hard drive.

Sorry if I'm being nitpicky.

holographic storage
This is new? At a lecture, in the year 1960 at my high school , a Pacific Bell lab technician demonstrated a clear cube that stored holographic images.
