I wonder whether this shape could be used to make a better roof-top (or attic) television antenna.

This tech is for much smaller antennas than the ones that are typically installed on a rooftop or in an attic. It would be great if my satellite TV antenna was smaller, but it's good enough for me as is & I wouldn't pay a lot more for a smaller one.

Ever mimicked holding a phone by keeping your fist to your cheek bone with the thumb up to your ear and pinky in front of your mouth? (Yes, just like you do now!)

Now imagine two casings; one slides on the tip of your thumb, holding speaker and antenna, and the other one, with microphone, on your pinky finger... Must be fun to see. Now let's figure out where to put other components...
