Hmm... it's hot in Dallas... who'd have thunk it. Dallas is hot as heck (except when it's cold in winter). The only places in Texas hotter 'n Dallas are Wichita Falls and Presido.

The Infographic Climate Change Map is a nonsensical PR scam.

In the last 160 years the average temperature of the Earth has gone up by only 0.4degC. That is all. See the official Hadley temperature figures plotted out at:

Then ask yourself where all this nonsense is coming from and why...

I'm very glad to have the Infograph to see globally what is occurring.

It is unfortunate that we do not invest American business know how to be the leader in changing from a fossil fuel based economy to a renewable energy based one. If we did, the benefits to unemployment, our national debt and our environment would be terrifically positive. But as long as the Climate Change denying trolls continue to confuse the issue, political leadership will not have the courage to stand up and get this country moving.

Severe and accelerating climatic change, huh? Please take a look at the following official temperature data (taken from the Hadley Centre of Climategate fame, and certainly not employed by fossil fuel companies):

(1) You will see that the mean long term rise over the past 160 years was 0.4degC per century (see the blue line).

"Severe and accelerating"? Er...I think not.

(2) Superimposed on that gentle rise is a clearly visible ~67 year cyclic temperature variation of approximately plus and minus 0.25degC, above and below the mean long term value (see the red line). The most recent upward half of that oscillation occurred over the 30 year period from 1970 to 2000, during which period there was growing climate alarmism.

"Severe and accelerating" or just part of a natural ~67 year climate cycle?

So I would suggest that the man-made CO2 theory has certainly not yet been vindicated by the experimental data. To decide one way or the other, we will clearly need to wait for at least another 10 to 15 years to see just what that red line does.

I am no troll. These are the facts. Are you perhaps an ostrich?

What would you make of the "loyalty oath" that climate scientists in Britain were coerced into signing after the East Anglia Climate Research Unit scandal under the implicit threat of losing their funding?

So if you're tired of having to listen to the "climate deniers", then just rely upon the BBC for your news. There's little threat of having your beliefs challenged there.

The fact is that among scientists who actually study climate the "denier" position is on the fringe. Why shouldn't the media reflect that ratio?

They didn't check the source data, or verify the accuracy of the original measuring methodology. Furthermore, they never verified the accuracy or validity of the adjustment criteria for changes in measuring methods, or even changes in the measurement environments.

And that doesn't even touch on determination of a cause and effect relationship between human activity and perceived climactic changes.

I could as easily, and correctly, attribute global warming to the human caused deforestation of the Mediterranean basin over the past 2 thousand years.

I agree! If the climate change facts were undeniably supported by scientists everywhere, I'd be much more interested. The way things stand, I'm very skeptical.

Lets all have the same voice and lets all be in this as one. Not just the select.

The makers of the map need to do better research. The neighborhood they claim rising seas are flooding is landfill from harbor dredging just after the Civil War. The land has settled 18 inches since it was first filled. 14 inches of that settling has happened since they first started developing there at the start of the 20th century.

The area floods more often because it is sinking and rejoining the tidal basin it was claimed from. This situation beautifully illustrates the junk being reported by the global warming crowd.

Cool. Another negative vote for telling the truth.

But, Dr.a.Jagadeesh Nellore(AP),India, the Infographic map contains absolutely no science at all - just mountains of "alarmist propaganda" - things that might happen in the future if the anthropogenic CO2 warming theory turns out to be true.

How can these dire predictions be taken seriously when the official instrumental temperature record (HadCRUT3) shows absolutely no sign of alarming warming over the past 160 years - just an average gentle rise of 0.41degC per century? Doesnt that real world fact refute the whole CO2 warming theory and expose the politically motivated alarmism about the future that accompanies it?

Or has climate science abandoned the scientific method?

The Infographic map contains lots of facts about what has happened as well as predictions about the future. The effects of global warming are already happening but people like you choose to ignore them.

Your simple numerical projection at "thetruthabout..." has no predictive power because it is just a statistical projection with no physical science behind it.

The only facts behind the Virginia Beach tag prove it has everything to do with people building on dredged up silt that has settled. 0 evidence of rising seas.
