It is about time.
My 1979 Chevette 1.4 liter iron block 4 got over 30 mpg back then. If they cut the top end hp back a bit and kept the vehicle weight under 2,000 lbs they could get this car over 60 mpg. Maybe 70.

they don't make em light anymore
With the safety requirements that exist now, and all of the things that people currently expect in a "standard" model (power windows/locks,AC,ABS,etc.), it'll weigh more.

Separate issue
That's the car as a whole. 120 hp is a 120 hp, which is more than adequate top-end output for many vehicles. There's no mention of torque at lower revs, but it's still interesting to see what's possible now.

still is a gas consumption vehicle
and it still deal with petrol." what will be the price per a gallon or a liter of this? where now in Canada my wife has to pay close 50 dollars for a fill up some time because hers is a four cylinder Rio KIA. lets try to developed convectional energy car. I feel it is a smart way still. But people and auto makers will use gasoline as long they can make it .." The Hydrogen fuel efficient car could be a better way. since already other people use ethane from corn.
