Neat idea
That is an interesting idea. I am very much in favor of anything reduces the wastefulness of those dang plastic bottles. I am curious how easy it is to fill? I am thinking of my Brita as an example - which takes a fair bit of time for the water to make it's way through the filter process. How does the filtration work on this?

It appears to work fairly well, but most water experts will tell you that if the water is not clean by the time it gets to your tap, you're health is still at risk. Even so, the extra peace of mind may be worth it for a clean freak.

I see several problems. First, what is the filter made of? When using the Brita filter it removes only about 2-3 ppm, not worth it. It might remove chlorine though, and that is good. But the growth on the filter from organisms might be something to be concerned about. I think the filter should be washed after every use. And what type of plastic is the bottle made from? Is it PPA free?
