How can we reduce carbon emmission
We need lots of education on this important topic. Information must be done through every media possible, to every day remind people of the consequences we have to face, the impending crisis. Another way is to teach it as a subject in all schools, whatever the age of the students.

Um, where have you been?
You can't turn on a television or pick up the Times without hearing about it. "An Inconvenient Truth" has been shown in classrooms as fact for years. One of my nephews had a Christmas play about "global warming". This whole web site, and thousands of others are almost exclusively devoted to it. I know people who think they know their "carbon footprint", but can't tell me how much they pay in taxes.

I really can't imagine how we could have more "education" on the topic than we have now.

Missed a key point.
You also need to look at geography and what green options work in your area.

You may live between 2 hills and large pine forests as I do and cannot use a wind turbine because you cannot get permits for a 60 + foot tower.

Or you may live near Seattle and average between 50 and 80 days of sun a year, which makes solar irrelevant.

Going green is not a one size fits all solution for everywhere. You have to work with what Mother Nature gives you.
