I cannot say anything about iRobot's military division, but I was an iRobot Roomba customer, and I can certainly tell you that I will never, ever, purchase anything from this company again.I paid $400 for a Roomba, used it maybe twenty times over the course of just over a year, cleaning it thoroughly every time it finished... and then it just stopped working. Hoping to get it repaired, and willing to pay for such a repair, I found out that iRobot does not offer any kind of repair service beyond the one year warranty period . Do you know what iRobot customer service told me? "Sorry sir, but you will have to buy a new Roomba, we have some new models for you to consider." My reaction was quite normal for an owner of a major home appliance: "What?! No repair options whatsoever?!" When I absolutely refused to accept this response, the representative put me on hold to speak to a supervisor, then came back and said, "The best I can do for you is offer you 10% off one of our new models."After looking around the web, I found out that I was not the only one who had been suckered into this company's reprehensible after-sales policies. So in summary, $400 (plus sales tax) to vacuum my apartment about twenty times, came to about $20 per cleaning. My sincere advice: stay away from this toy masquerading as a real home appliance, it WILL break down and the you will be left with NO repair options.Like I said, never again. Ever.
