Utilities and government want to artificailly re-price electricity in an effort me make costly and inefficient alternative energy, wind and solar, more competitive. Power grid compoment mfgrs are spewing this nonsense to create markets for new equipment including meters. Be sure the only ones who benefit are the mfgrs and the government taxes). By knowing your personal usage the utility can set your "personal peak". Changing your pattern just resets the peak. You will not win!
