now they'll sue
Apple may now begin to sue every competitor or annoyance, based simply upon this silly "store appearance trademark" which is absolutely unremarkable, and similar to thousands of stores that already exist, except for the Apple company logo being on the glass. They already sued over the shape of a rectangular tablet, why not the shape of a rectangular store. I don't personally care. I find this all a great source of amusement.

Architecture
Good architecture cannot be patented but it should be imitated. Engineers bury their mistakes, architects plant ivy.

Apple Architecture
I have some Apple products but the more I see them putting up walls against everything the more I'm considering buying something else. This is beyond belief that the bodies issuing patents would even be allowed to consider stuff like this. A label is one thing but this building and work space layout is something altogether. There must be a lot of companies that have similar layouts. When are the slap suits from Apple going to start raining down on them. When are Americans and others going to say that they won't put up with Apples BS any more?

So this is capitalism at work....
when you have enough money you just put up some walls to protect your ideas.... I dont buy Sony or Apple crap because it always proprietary... a free society is not one in which a person can claim ownership of an idea... /:
