3-D Printing
3-D printing is in its infancy, but it is growing and gathering interest. I don't think that it will ever be possible to use a 3-D printer to print something complicated like a transister radio; I would be happy to be wrong. 3-D printing is good for prototyping and making hard to find parts. The 7 examples in the article show that there is an interest in building inexpensive and more capable 3-d printers.
