Report Offensive Message

It can't be the small electronics battery in my 2001 ... it looks like it was obtained from a modest sized Harley-Davidson! And isn't the traction/drive battery working at a much higher voltage? How does its rating get stepped down to 12 VDC so the inverter can produce 110 VAC? Explaination, please.
