Any honest person should not care. Even privacy groups and rights activists shouldn't be worried about the ability of the FBI and others to access anybody's e-mail accounts. If fact with all the crime and terrorist threats around the world they should be welcoming that ability.
We do need laws though, so that ability to access someones e-mail accounts cannot be misused in any way.
