Nice piece on Temple Grandin. She was a college classmate of mine, but I rarely talked to her. She was clearly in a world of her own, but the movie with Claire Danes really opened my eyes to how she was different...and brilliant. The beginning was chilling on several levels. Temple has tremendous courage and has done incredible things for the autistic community and the world at large (BTW, I am a former SP blogger).
