I think this article is garbage...
From the simple standpoint, that ultimately publicly funded science doesn't matter to most Americans. Yes, it might matter to many on this site, but what really matters is who will make their lives better?
The answer is we know where we have gone (well, not gone) with Obama, his presidency has been a miserable failure and based on his own comments, he should not be running again as a result.
So, it's not if Romney wins, but when he wins. Also, remember the president doesn't actually have all that much control over what gets funded and what doesn't. Yes, he can veto a budget, but he will likely have to make compromises to get some of what he wants in it.
