If you were robbed by a red-headed white man with blue eyes, would you want the police to be searching for someone with that description OR for a black female of African ancestry?
Obviously, you want them looking for the person that robbed you. That is the basis of PROFILING! What the TSA is doing is NOT profiling as they don't want to "offend" anybody. It doesn't matter to them that their actions do NOTHING to make flying safer, NOR does it matter to them (or the people that dreamed up this malarky) that these searches violate the meaning and intent of the 4
th Amendment of the Constitution. To wit:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
It doesn't matter whether it is the Xray machines or those bloody "pat-downs" (any place other than the airport and those would get you arrested!), BOTH invade your privacy
for no VALID REASON.
