Cars Rule
I completely disagree. We need more of a campaign to make helmets seem like buckling your seatbelt in a car. I can't even start to drive without my seatbelt buckled because I feel naked. The same habit pattern has to be established. I personally know three children and two adults who have all had serious bike accidents in the last year. ALL of them would have been either dead or devastatingly brain injured had they not been wearing a bike helmet. Broken bones and scrapes heal. You do not get a 'do-over' on a brain injury. Disregarding helmets is the wrong tact. Cars are still king in America and anyone who goes up against a car on a bike will definitely be on the losing end of that equation. Change the perception of helmets. Wear them. Period.
