hmm. I tried this wth my friends using unmarked, but colored, cups. Most automatically chose the blue cup, so how can it be an unbiased test?, Simple psychology biased the test as it may have been intended. The results as posted, will automatically give Obama more votes.

Sereously?
Did they look at the demographics of where 7/11s are located? No.
As Don mentioned the color of the cup has an impact. The proximity of the cup to the filling station. Location, left side, right side, closest to the door, at the counters edge verses set back and raised. All of which can impact the selection.
I'll bet half the people buying did not even notice the survey when they selected their cup.

Saving the Planet
What does this have to do with saving the planet? Perhaps this is high school?

I would love to see Starbucks, McDonalds, and Dunkin Donuts do the same thing and see how results compare. Unfortunately there isn't a single Dunkin Donuts in all of California (which is incredibly stupid if you ask me). But I would still like to see the results.
