Typo's?
David, the quote from Grunwald says they "expected 40 GW of wind power by 2030" and "it's not quite 2030 yet and we've already got 50 GW". That would make a whole lot more sense if you (or Grunwald) meant 2013.

Wind policy? What a joke.
All of the turbines in Massachusetts that were paid for with stimulus money have been shut down for over 14 months with major design and construction flaws. At best half of them will be working by years end. The rest will be running by 2013.
And these are not the only problems. That is 1 state.

You need to consult some Oregon wind farmers. Here we have over 2,500 MW of wind power installed providing 8.2% of the electricity generated in Oregon in 2011. Another 845 MW is scheduled to come on line by the end of 2012.
