They do record daily temps of the ocean but the air is not the issue. The sun is heating the oceans and has already risen the earths temps by .8 of a degree. 20 years ago they were saying that a 2 degree rise would bring devastation and now that number is closer to a degree. The ice is melting from the Greenland continent and thats something even your blind eyes can see.
