I was born in HK, lived there for half of my 40+ years life time.I can ensure you there is Good connectivity, Good Shopping, Good Food, Good People, Good tax rate, Good mobile and fix line phone or internet. With all the exciting night life, good food plus unbreathable and hot and humid atmosphere will let you go to see the maker much earlier than expected. Sure Amsterdam or Sydney or Kyoto is a better place to live just without the good shopping.

The only thing I would hold against Hong Kong is the lack of space for gardens! Apart from that, if there was anywhere else I would want to live, it would be HK and nowhere else. It really is a special place.
