Why is it being built in Korea?
Aren't we up to the task of building a ship any more?
Are the unions too worthless to get it done in an affordable manner?

Does the US have a shipyard which could build this?
Korea does. The U.S. is kind of lacking here. This thing is bigger than an air craft carrier.

Time for the U.S. to invest in some renewal.

Unions
Don't knock the unions. It's the governments policies of the last 50 years that are responsible. Think 1%,

It's bad enough the ship is built in Korea. They are building these drill rigs in Korea and then shipping them into the Gulf of Mexico.
