RE: When will 3D viewing glasses be obsolete?
This video didn't help me understand when 3D viewing glasses will be obsolete. I'm interested in knowing more about this, and I am particularly interested in knowing whether a person who is sighted in one eye only will be able to experience 3D.

RE: When will 3D viewing glasses be obsolete?
I don't understand the fascination with 3D. I've tried all of the various active and passive glasses and they all still take away from the movie experience for me. You are continuously aware that you are using them. The directors usually throw in gratuitous gimmick shots where something flies out at the audience as if they were tacked on as an afterthought. Every aspect of current 3D takes more away from the movie experience than it adds. I want to be immersed in the story, characters, and visuals, not distracted from it. In my mind, 3D viewing glasses were obsolete the moment they appeared. I just hope the studios can get past this pointless trend and get back to making good movies.
