Not surprising if true. Copying is a form of flattery.

Reminds me of Konkordski and a few other Soviet look-alike air craft, both civil and military, which were quite common during the Cold War years.

I would guess that if you don't have too many sophisticated wind-tunnel and FEA computer analysis systems to hand, then the next best thing is to 'borrow' what obviously seems to work for those who do. After all, they must have already discounted many other options before choosing the one they have actually used.

Saves a lot of time trying to reinvent the wheel!

The J-20 may have more in common with the YF-23 and F-35..

I also heard that the J-20, very much like the F-22, will also have 2 wings and maybe a seat at the front for the pilot... Damn! those bad Chinese stealing again from good Americans...

That much for a "stealth" plane... they can't even properly hide their drawings in a drawer and they hope to hide a plane in the sky... They should call David Copperfield, he can make planes disappear lol

There's lots of speculation about the J-20 because there's so few facts. All that's really confirmed is that it's much bigger than the F-22. Neither complacency nor panic is called for.
Holographic HUDs aren't an especially sensitive tech. They may be appearing in ordinary passenger cars in the near future.
The F-35, somewhat farther along in the development process than the J-20, dispenses with a "dash mounted" HUD in favor of a "visor display" HMD (Helmet Mounted Display)

china excels in copying and cheap and inferior products. it may look the same but i don't think it will not outperform the f22. besides, chinese pilots lack battle experience they're no match in the real world.

that is clearly a F-22 stealth fighter design the only difference is that the Chinese colored it with communist colors and stars. But even though it wont out perform the mighty LOCKHEED MARTIN/BOEING F-22 RAPTOR
