Couple of comments. Inflatable football protection devices have been around for decades. I worked with Bryon Donzis the inventor of some those devices - which the device above might be violating several relevant patents. It's interesting the above has come to light so shortly after Bryon's death.

Unfortunately, it's one of the few successful evolutionary selection challenges we have left to eliminate those incapable of understanding and prioritizing lethal injury risks. I can tell you from looking around - we need more junior and high school football and less protection.
