Polls, Polls, and Damnable Polls
The reason the US appears to have dichotomy on the subject is that the fact of the matter is when push comes to shove price does matter. Outside of the Urban Centers, price is a huge consideration. Do I pay 9 cents a kilowatt hour for natural gas generated electricity or 14 cents for wind generated electricity? I don't know about you but don't really want to spend an extra nickel per KwH just so I can feel warm and fuzzy about where my electricity comes from. Not when that nickel per KwH can add up to a substantial monthly deposit into my children???s college fund account.
Here is your American reality in a nutshell, 10% shop at Whole Foods / Boutiques, 40% at Grocers / Malls, and 50% shop at Wal-Mart, the same goes for energy.
That's why I don't trust polls, it's a person???s actions with their pocketbook that tell the truth.
