You agree that texting whilst driving is stupid so I suppose you're not doing it anyway. Then what's the problem? If you prohibit it, aren't you in fact regulating stupid behavior?
Isn't that the whole purpose? So that "people with common sense" shouldn't be agitated by those "who lack critical thinking skills"? Or do you want to solve the problem by calling them stupid every time you pass them.
