Toys “R” Us recently announced that they will be revamping their selection of consumer electronics in an effort to keep customers up to date with today’s digital trends. The popular toy company will offer a a new assortment of products featuring high-tech toys for children and adults alike. “At Toys “R” Us, we continually seek ways to offer the latest in consumer electronics products and we are excited to add new portable items to our assortment,” said Troy Peterson, Vice President, Divisional Merchandising Manager, Electronics and Entertainment, at Toys“R”Us, Inc.

They’ve added new and expanded existing product categories and will soon stock a wide assortment of prepaid mobile phones, tablet computers, headphones, iPod docks, digital cameras and Apple accessories. This move towards a more digital collection of products will also be reflected in their kids’ toys, as they plan to offer an increasing selection of things like video games, licensed electronics and karaoke machines.

In order to accomodate this changing line of products, Toys “R” Us has redesigned the electronics department in its stores. The new design features more space for consumer electronics with an open floor plan that allows customers to test out products and get advice from store employees. These changes reflect a response to increased demand for consumer electronics, and come just in time for the holiday season.

"(they) will soon stock a wide assortment of prepaid mobile phones, tablet computers, headphones, iPod docks, digital cameras and Apple accessories."

With a well recognized business telling everybody these are really 'toys', it may now be recognized it is true. happy
