787 Dreamliner performs touch and go

Boeing's first 787 "hopscotches" around Washington state, performs touch and go.

Boeing's first out 787 Dreamliner ZA001 "hopscotched" on two flights around Washington state Wednesday, according to Seattle PI blogger Aubrey Cohen. I met Cohen at the 787's first flight in mid-December. He took over for James Wallace who I am told joined Boeing Frontiers magazine as editor upon the closure of the paper's dead tree edition last year.

By my count, that's a total four test flights for the 787. You can track the most recent flight at FlightAware. It looks like it touched the Idaho border, but did not cross it.

Most notably, the plane performed a touch and go at Paine Field in Everett, Wash. Below is a touch and go animation with a 787 in All Nippon Airways paint.
